Frequently Asked Questions
Starting care can bring a lot of questions. We created this page to help you understand services, insurance, scheduling, referrals, and what to expect before your first appointment.
Getting Started
How do I start services at Gavreel?
The best first step is to contact our team or schedule a consultation. We will ask a few questions about your needs, the service you are interested in, and any insurance or referral information that may be required.
How do I know which service is right?
You do not need to know that before reaching out. Our team can help you understand whether mental health services, speech therapy, occupational therapy, therapeutic mentoring, or a combination of services may be the right starting point.
Do I need a referral?
Referral requirements may depend on the service, insurance plan, and provider requirements. If a referral is needed, our team can help explain what information may be required before care begins.
Services
What services does Gavreel provide?
Gavreel Health & Wellness Center provides mental health services, speech therapy, occupational therapy, and therapeutic mentoring. Each service is designed to support practical progress in daily life.
Who does Gavreel support?
We support children, youth, adults, and families. Speech therapy and occupational therapy may support both children and adults. Therapeutic mentoring is designed for youth under 21.
What is therapeutic mentoring?
Therapeutic mentoring is one-to-one support for youth under 21. It focuses on building practical skills such as communication, social skills, problem-solving, daily living skills, confidence, and follow-through.
Can someone receive more than one service?
Yes. Some people need one service, while others may benefit from support across more than one area. When appropriate, our team can help coordinate care, so services feel clearer and more connected.
Insurance & Payment
Do you accept insurance?
Gavreel accepts many major insurance plans. Coverage may vary by plan, service, referral requirements, authorization rules, and provider availability.
How can I verify my insurance?
You can submit your insurance information through our insurance verification process. Our team will review the information and help explain the next step before care begins.
Is insurance verification a guarantee of coverage?
No. Insurance verification helps review available benefit information, but it is not a guarantee of payment. Final coverage decisions depend on the insurance plan and its requirements.
Do you offer private pay options?
Private pay options may be available for certain services. If insurance does not apply or you prefer not to use insurance, our team can explain available options before care begins.
Appointments
Do you offer telehealth?
Telehealth may be available for certain services when appropriate. Availability can depend on the service, clinical need, provider, and insurance requirements.
What should I expect during the first appointment?
The first appointment is focused on understanding what brought you to care, what support may be needed, and what goals matter most. From there, the provider can help guide the next step.
How long does care last?
The length of care depends on the person’s needs, goals, service type, and progress over time. Some people need short-term support, while others benefit from ongoing care.
What should I bring to the first appointment?
Please bring your insurance card, identification, referral information if applicable, and any relevant records or notes that may help the provider understand your needs.
Families & Referrals
Can parents or caregivers be involved?
Yes. For children and youth, parent or caregiver involvement may be an important part of care. The level of involvement depends on the service, the person’s needs, and the care plan.
Can schools, providers, or organizations refer someone to Gavreel?
Yes. Gavreel welcomes referrals from healthcare providers, schools, community organizations, and other professionals seeking support for children, youth, adults, or families.
How can a referral partner contact Gavreel?
Referral partners can contact our team through the Contact Us page or referral form. Our team can review the need, identify the appropriate service, and guide the next step.
